my hair is really smooth and whenever i curl it, it goes down....i've tried with a curling iron, hair curlers, curling cream and product, and nothing worked.... i don't no what to try anymore!!How do you get your hair to curl???
After you wash your hair dry it just a little with a towel. Then put mousse on it, bend over looking down , and put more mousse working your fingers through your hair, then put non-aerosol mega hold hairspray.
I have that same problem, but this works, I use Herbal Essences mousse and spray.How do you get your hair to curl???
maybe you can try a perm...just not so curly...
It varies on the curling iron you're using, your hair texture, and exactly what products you use. Use a curl enhancing gel, spray, or mousse, and invest in a good, moderately expensive curling iron.
I suggest a 1 inch Hot Tools curling iron. It'll run you about 30 bucks and you can get it off the internet or from a beauty supply store.
You should also use HARD hold hairspray, tresemme, bedhead, or a good brand. Spray the hair before and IMMEDIATELY after curling it.
There are many many tutorials on curling hair so once you buy your iron just look up videos for curling with an iron on the internet.
try a diffusor to dry with along with the curl product...also make sure you are getting quality curl products!
When you get out of the shower put some mousse in your hair and scrunch it.

I have light Brown/ Dirty Blonde hair. How do I make it have Beachy Wavy Curls without using a curling iron??
My hair does not do well with curling irons so I need like a gel or spray I can use to make my hair have beachy waves! Kinda like Miley Cyrus hair but with more wave and less spiral curl!

here is what i tell everyone on how to get perfect, beachy, wavy hair:
';It took me forever to figure out how to get my hair to look like that, but last week I found the perfect product. =)
it's called Waves of Envy Sea Mist, by Sunsilk. You can get it at Walmart.
What you do is take a shower at night, or when you have enough time to let it air dry completely and you don't need to go anywhere. you can use the matching waves of envy shampoo and conditioner if you want, and then wrap your hair up in a towel for about 10 minutes until it's just a little damp. Then spray the sea mist in sections about an inch wide and scrunch up your hair and twist it around your fingers.
Do this on your whole head, then seperate your hair into 4 sections: one on each side of your head and two in the back. Then put each section in a loose ponytail. Take the ponytail and gather all the hair up around the elastic so it's kind of like a bun, then take another elastic and wrap it around the loose hair to keep it in place. Do this for each section, and then sleep on it, or just let it air dry. This is why you can't go anywhere, cause it looks pretty ridiculous =P
After it dries completely (wait at least 2 or 3 hours), take out the elastics, and finger comb through your hair. Add some more sea mist spray to refresh the waves and maybe a shine spray to make it look really good.

you could try and sleep with rollers in your hair over night, and that might give you the loose curls w/o the curling iron, just remember to brush lightly and hair spray before and after you take out the rollers.

I tried this then used a little hairspray and it stayed in almost all day! it works best when your hair is damp...not soaking or dry. But it really works well! (my hair is naturally really strait so its hard for heated curls 2 stay in) Good Luck! :)

Braid your hair into 6-8 braids when it is damp. When it dries you'll have waves plus it won't damage your hair like a curling iron will.

Would a perm help my hair hold curl better?
My hair is pretty straight, and when I try to curl it with rollers or a curling iron, the curls just don't last...no matter how much product I use. I have shoulder length hair and have been thinking of getting it cut pretty short, but was wondering if a perm would help it hold curl better?

well if you get a perm it will be curly all the time (but the curls will hold) and if you do get a perm and don't always want curly hair you can just straighten it.
