How do i curl my hair with a curling iron and make it last?

I've tried to curl my hair with a curling iron, but the result isn't very well. Once it worked but it didn't last long. Anyone know curling iron how tos? Thanks. How do i curl my hair with a curling iron and make it last?
My tip is this:

Brush your hair perfectly flat after you wash it.

Blow dry it, brush it perfectly flat again.

Spray it with a healthy dose of hairspray.

Curl it with the iron.

Spray with more hairspray.

That should do'er. :OHow do i curl my hair with a curling iron and make it last?
before u put the curling iron in put a strong glue in ur hair
put moose in your hair before you blow dry it and then spray a little bit of hairspray before you curl...if you want more curl in your hair try wrapping your hair around the barrel, not just clamping it in then wrapping, then finish with a moveable hairspray
Depends on your hair type and your curling iron. If your hair doesn't hold curl well, make sure the iron is good and hot, curl and hold for 20 seconds or so, then take out the iron and use hair spray to hold. Or use a gel or mouse before hand.
yes...to make a curl last as long as possible, after you wash you hair, put a small amount of styling gel all over your hair...then as you are curling your hair, spray each section as you are wrapping it around the iron...also, try not to touch your hair too much after styling...it will make the curls fall out easier!
If your hair is like mine it just wont stay curly when you curl with a curling iron. That is why I switched to hotrollers, it takes about the same amount of time and it lasts five times longer. And you can do other stuff while your hair is being curled.
First of all you have to blow dry your hair. Try to get it as flat as possible you may use a ceramic flattening iron. Then do the curl. This will make wonderful curls. Do not comb with a brush, just use your fingers and a little of hairspray will do it.

If you try to curl with out flattening hair first, the curls will not look good and will not last.
Try a setting lotion, then set your curling iron to the hottest setting that your hair will handle. If you don't have setting lotion, try a medium or strong hold gel in wet hair, blowdry, then curl each section and spray about 16 inches from your hair.
i have a cheap curling iron the one with bristles(like in brushes) around it.

the trick???...curl while hair is lil damp and dont put any mousse/gel/hairspary it will just weigh down your hair...try it and enjoy the results..
wash it, dry it, spray a bit of hair, then roll it round curling iron,do again until hair is all done. style, spray whole head
Don't try to curl really clean hair!

Wash the day before, then curl. Really clean hair will lose the curl after a few hours.
