I could go through a lengthy explanation, but instead:

I thought this was a nice grad look and easy to do. A few tips:

1)Work with the rest of your hair before adding the ends into the curler to do less damage. Or, you can just not curl the ends at all for a more natural, less ';done'; look.

2)If you have fine, very soft or virgin hair you can ';rough up'; your hair a little bit with some spray wax or surf spray to hold the style better. Spray it on each section rather than all at once

3)alternate the direction of each curl or you will end up forming one big ';sausage'; curl

4) preheat the hair by running the curling iron through it twice before actually curling it

5) the best way to ruin your curls is by using too much/too strong hairspray! Use a light hold and spray by picking up sections and spraying the scalp rather than the whole head. And don't use ANY hairspray until you are satisfied with the end results

Hope I helped :)
You should try curling rolls instead because the results with curling iron may be just half-curled hair.

For curling rolls, you roll your hair(your mom probably knows) and leave it out for 3-6 hours and get an amazing and firmly done hair.

If not, the curling iron should be used with the iron left to be hot for 5 minutes and then take some hair(but not too much) and roll it upwards. If you'd like, you can take hair vitaliser gels or spray and then curl it with a curling iron, just to protect your hair.
ok so i have straight hair too. just make sure your hair is brushed out and dry. then you separate the hair into many strands that aren't too thick, but aren't too thin. and then you turn the iron on. it should take like 5 minutes for it to be really hot.

make sure not to touch the metal. it'll hurt. lol

then open the curling iron and put the hair (strand) into it (the bottom of your hair) then close it and wrap the rest of the hair around it until you reach the roots of the hair. hold it there for like 5 minutes (depending on how long your hair is). youll know when it is done when your head feels really hot (the hair). unwrap the hair and open the iron. let the hair fly loose :)

you may wanna brush it, but that may take the curls away so be careful with that.
read the info sheet
Look up ';hair curling'; on youtube. Its the first video.
while ur hair is on the curling iron spray it with hairspray so the curls will stay

This is a video I found for you. It's only 2 minutes long. It gives you all the steps on how to curl your hair. Just click the link below and it'll come up to the video. Hope this helps!

its very simple but if ur hair is very thin or damaged first put in a heating serum

1.Part your hair into 4 different sections (top-left,top-right,bottom left, bottome right) Start with one of the bottom sections but dont forget to pin the other sections to your head.

2. take a thin piece of hair from that pile and put it into the curler(btw the curler should be heated for atleast 15 mins before starting) run the curler to the end of hair and roll up.

- wait for about 10 seconds ( counting aloud helps) then place you curler vertically with the handle on the bottom and slowly release the hair

3. After doing your whole head take a wide-toothed comb(but a pic is better) to loosen them if you want and then spray with hairspray

4. I forgot to mention if you want tight curls use a thinner curler, if you want bigger looser curls use a thicker curler
watch this, it works; i tried it yesterday.

haha :)
