Whenever I try to curl my hair with a 1 inch curling iron, all my curls blend together, and I wind up with two big curls on each side of my head. How can I prevent this from happening, so I can have a more separation, like here? ------%26gt; http://livecurlylivefree.com/cutting%20curly%20hair.jpg

You have to alternate the curls. For example, curl the first one towards you face, the second, away, the third towards you face, ect. You don't have to be so precise either. It looks good when you randomly curl pieces different ways.
