How to curl hard-to-curl hair?

It is extremely difficult to get curls out of my hair with an curling iron. I can with over-night curlers, but not with an iron! Are there any tips you all have that can make my curls stay in when i use a curling iron? Thanks! How to curl hard-to-curl hair?
I have probably the hardest hair to curl as well.

I've learned, instead of buying one of those dinky cheap 19.99 curling irons, what's best for your hair is to go to an actual salon or beauty shop in your area that deals with bridal parties and etc. Go there, and they will actually set you up with an amazing curling iron just by looking and feeling your hair. Yes, maybe be a little pricey. But, to look good and to really get that bounce sometimes is worth it.

Hope that helps :]How to curl hard-to-curl hair?
You can try this I'm not too sure if it will work.

1)Wash your hair out. Towel dry

2)Brush your hair and spray at the same time with Beyond The Zone Turn Up The Heat (from Sally's)

3)Apply Avon Dry End Serum (unfortunately you have to order this from this catalog but you can try BioSilk it works the same they sell it @ Sally's or Longs Drugs

4)Blow dry your hair (i use a paddle brush) then split into sections

5)Begin curling in individual sections. Begin from the bottom up

(for a nice wave gently brush through the curls with your fingers)

Not sure if i explained that right but if it doesn't work visit a salon and ask them to give you some pointers

It also might depend on your curling iron. Try using Helen Of Troy (i love their curling irons)
don,t play wid hair baby....
