How do I make my hair wavy without the use of a curling iron?

I have been trying for a while now to make my hair wavy with a curling iron, and it just isn't working. It will come out to curly or frizzy.

So does anyone have an suggestions?

It will help... hahaHow do I make my hair wavy without the use of a curling iron?
heres a lot of suggestions:

buy those soft curlers and sleep in them. it is soooo easy and you save so much time in the morning. you just take them out and only brush the top of your hair otherwise you brush right through the curls. then use hairspray, not mousse. ive found that a great brand of hairspray is matrix hairspray. and for looser, messier curls, you separate each curl in two. it is a more casual, less shirley temple look.

then for waves, sleep in braids. (the number depending on how wavy you want your hair. i would probably recommend about eight or so) then you just take them out in the morning and just brush the top of your hair. you can use hairspray, but i usually dont need it, but then again, my hair holds waves really well......

and if you shower in the morning, scrunch your hair with mousse and it looks pretty good but might get a little frizzy.

and to get a curled, more voluminous ponytail, here is what you do. just put your hair up in a ponytail before bed, then put anywhere from 1-3 curlers in it (depending on how much hair you have and how thick it is and how big you want your curls) then when you wake up, roll them right out, and re-tie your ponytail holder and brush the top of your head, without brushing down the curls. you can put hairspray in if you want, but you might not even need to for just a ponytail.

good luck!! hope i helped!!!How do I make my hair wavy without the use of a curling iron?
wet your hair and put gel in it and crunch your fingers threw all your hair and then use hair- spray
its called curlers or gel DUH
Braids! Let your hair be moist, then sleep on them.
you could scrunch it with this scrunch cream you can buy at the store or just get it wet and let it air dry! Hope this helps! :) 鈾olie
you could braid it in different sections while it's damp and when it's dry, take the braids out.
well, if u want a puffy wavy hair, here it goes. My sister wwheres a ponytail bun thingy and she wore it for a long time (sleeps on it) and then one day she took it off and WOAH. ya, it was pretty big and wavy. pretty 'frizz'ish.
with damp hair put gel(i prefer LA looks) and scrunch it upside down for about 2 or 3 minutes then flip your head back up and then dry it using a diffuser. spray with Aussies freeze hold. always works for me!!!
braids is all it takes..

when u just get out of the brush and french braid ur WET hair and go to sleep and on the flip side u'll wake up with waves!!(just undo the braids and put gell or mousse and scrunch itt a little)
Try take a shower first, then blow dry ur hair and then brush ur hair, then put gel on ur hair and rub it with both hands. U will then get a wavy hair especially if u have long hair.
Wave shampoo. ;)
um i seriously do not have an answer for this but you could try a hair crypter..some come with wavy and other kinds of plates so they are changeable.

hope u find a gooood answer.

After taking a shower put some gel or mousse on your wet hair, and a little hair spray, and dry it. It will come out wavy.
Use a crimping iron. It's very much easier than a curling iron.
TRY BRAIDING IT..WHILE DAMP..OR USE CURLERS...

OR USE BOBBY PINS TO PUT UR HAIR UP .
There are a lot of ways to make your hair wavy. The way I always do it is to take a shower. After wards you can braid your hair(two braids works best.) Make sure your braids are tight. Then sleep in your braids and then when you take them out in the morning. Your hair should be all wavy and curly!
HEY GIRL THIS IS WAT'S UP , JUST SLIGHTLY DAMPEN YOUR HAIR WITH A LITTLE SETTING LOTION OR STYLING GEL. BRAID IT OR TWIST IT WHATVER WORKS FOR YOU. MAKE SURE YOU FASTEN THEM ON THE ENDS SO THEY WON'T UNWIND, THEN HAND BLOW DRY OR LET AIR DRY. TRY AT LEAST 8 BRAIDS. MORE FOR WAVIER LESS FOR LOOSER, EXPERIMENT TRY ROLLING THE BRAIDS WITH ROLLERS %26amp; DRY TAKE THEM DOWN AND U GO GIRL !
What I do to make my hair wavy is:

1) when hair is still damp put a quarter size glob or stying creme, ( I use bumble and bumble) and run it through hair

2) then twist sections of hair around your fingers, like half inch sections twirling away from face. add more product while twisting.

3) when finished attach diffuser to hairdryer, flip hair to front and dry. The diffuser makes the curls stay

4) when dry spritz with soft hold hair spray
Easy. Next time you take a bath, don't blow-dry it because if you dry it with a towel, you can braid it, sleep with it, and in the morning when it is dry you take it out and it will be wavy! (And if your hair curls easily, it wiil be more curly than wavy!)
Ok. it is really simple. First take a shower (at night). Then when it is still went have somebody do two french braids, really tight. Then sleep with it still wet.

In the morning take them out and hairspray it. everything should turn out prefect!

My sister and I do it every week and everyone compliments us. it gaves a natural crimped look, that will stay in the who day.

Good Luck!!!!!
Gel and braids are two fun ways to curl your hair. I love to do both! Have fun with your hair.
