How To Use A Three-Barrel Curling Iron With Hair Like This??

I have really poofy hair, not curly just very poofy and wavy, I want to use my three-barrel curling iron I bought but I dont know how to use it without making my hair go back to its poofy state, but I also dont want it to be all hard by using a bunch of hairspary. Keep in mind that I want to do this befor school so I dont have alot of time. But I want it to look natural. Just use it when the hair is kinda damp then section ur hair and do it that way
