uhhmmm hairspray
ok so you have to spray the peice of hair your about to curl with hair spray it works really good and it comes out cuter =D hope i helped
Get your strip of hair ready to be curled, spritz a lil hair spray on it, then curl that strip. Let the curl go, spritz again with a lil hair spray. It will last much longer this way.
If IMMEDIATLY after u curl it and its lost try either

A)keeping ur hair in the curling iron a little longer

B)Hair spray it while its still on the curler

C)Do both a and b
HAIRSPRAY!
I have that problem, too, and I still haven't found a way to get my hair to curl.

But for some people, the curls stay in longer if you don't wash your hair the day before you try curling it.
The cleaner the hair, the harder to get the curl to stay. So you have to muck it up a bit. Add some goop when you first dry it. Mousse for example. Then as mentioned above, you have to put the hair spray on the hair just before your curl it and immediately spritz again when it comes off the iron, holding the curl until it cools and dries. The spritz again when you have the style.

The longer the hair the more the hair weight will pull out the curl. You may need a trim.
If you REALLY want it to stay, have you thought about rag curlers? It doesn't take very long to learn how, and it doesn't damage your hair like a curling iron.

First: At night, wash your hair and condition it like you normally would. You could spray some shine spray on it, but you don't have to. Let your hair dry just a bit (it should be damp, but not soaked), and de-tangle by using your fingers or possibly a comb (just be very careful so not as to break your hair!).

Second: once you hair is still damp, take strips of fabric and roll your hair onto them like you would with a curling iron. Tie them off near the scalp.

Third: sleep on them. Its not very uncomfortable at all.

Fourth: in the morning when you wake up, make sure your hair is TOTALLY dry before taking your rags out. If its not, your hair will still be straight. Take the rags out and gently comb through your hair with your fingers. DO NOT, and I repeat, DO NOT use a brush: you'll have gigantic frizzy mess! Once thats done, spray a bit of hair spray, and you're done!

What you'll need:

Rags- you can use fabric bought at a store and cut into strips, or cut up and old towel. Depending on how long your hair is, you may need the strips to be as long as 15 inches.
