Use any silicone based heat protectant spray before you iron it.
i recomment that you do not use a curling iron very often because it can damage your hair after a couple of uses....there is this cream that can crunch it up though.
Somebody tell me to put little baby oil to prevent damage or yogurt (about half an hour) before washing your hair.
But the most important thing is threat your hair as precious treasure of you.
there are several ways to protect your hair from being damaged by a curling iron.....
1. your hair should be completely dry...curling hair with a hot curling iron while it is wet or damp actually damages it more
2. just like straighting hair there are several mouses or creams designed specifically for use with a curling iron...you can usually pick these up at most beauty retail stores
3. condition you hair everytime you wash it...it adds extra protectio
3. do not use the iron everyday....you will fry it, especially if you have it on the high setting......
4. the longest you should keep the iron on you hair is ten seconds, that keeps it from burning your end and getting hot spots.
5. make sure you clean your curling iron abot once a week, it will perform better and last longer without all the hair oils and products on it.
