i DO have a flat iron but it couldnt curl my hair coz it's not one of those cornered sides that arent rly made for curling hair. soo how do i curl my hair with a 1'; (i think) curling iron evenly? everytime i try using it,the curls arent even.. some of them are tight, some are loose, some of them are just wavey. i dont know what to do! :( help??How to curl hair with a curling iron?
First you need to put a protective serum on your hair so it doesn't burn your hair (also do this when straightening). Next, take EVEN sections and spray a little bit of hair spray before you curl it so it will last longer.
****Helpful Tip- Section off hair by using clips so you can work with one section at a time.
Next, curling time depends how naturally straight your hair is (yours seems very straight, if they fall out or get too wavy) then you would hold it for about 10 seconds on each section. Then gently unwind the hair from the curling iron. You can add another squirt of hair spray to finish it off...but other than that your finished!

The clicking method.
1. Find piece, go over it once with the iron.
2. Get to the near end, not completely. wrap it once.
3. Click it down so the iron gets into the end.
4. Wrap fully up.
5. Leave on for 10 seconds, then pull straight down.
what kind of curls are you going for? i usually do mine in loose natural spirals. to get that look i use a smaller curling iron (not sure what size barrel) I start with the bottom layer.. doesn't need to be too much on the bottom... but use an angle with the curling iron for each side you want to angle the curls to curl back from your face. then just time it for each piece, i do about 10 seconds each for mine. then do the middle layer and then the top adding more curls to each layer of hair. if your hair tends to not hold then use a light coat of hairspray careful to not make your hair ';crunchy';

try to use a little of hair spray just to keep them curled. not to much because then you'll just have hard hair
